- Childrens liquid IBprofin- always a good thing to have incase your rat is in discomfort, maybe from a scratch, a torn toenail, sprained foot...etc.
- q-tips
- cotton balls
- gause
- styptic powder- to stop any bleeding
- neosporin-for any shallow wounds
- benadryl
- pedialyte
- peroxide
- baby food/cereal
- skin glue-again to close any shallow wounds
- wound wash/saline solution
- a sock filled with rice (can be microwaves and placed in a towel to keep an old rat warm
- a frozen water bottle (in the freezer obviously) can be placed in the cage during a hot day for the rats to lean or lay against to stay cool
- syringes to give out meds or to feed an old sick rat
- ensure- for an old rat that might need extra nutrients (beware of expiration dates)
- some extra food and bottled water - for emergencies only
